Episcopal Collegiate challenges students in the Middle School to think more abstractly, to solve problems resourcefully, and to communicate effectively in speech and writing. Because students develop at different rates, programming is broad enough to encompass diverse learning profiles. Activities promoting personal growth, peer interaction, and group identity are integral to the Middle School experience.

Language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, religious education, and foreign languages comprise the core Middle School curriculum. In addition, courses in studio art, art history, music, drama, dance, technology, physical education, and library skills are vital components of the program. Teachers encourage students to take risks, experience success, and view mistakes as vehicles for future growth. Details of all courses offered in the Middle School are available in the Middle School Curriculum Guide.

Key to the success of the Middle School program is an atmosphere of trust among parents, students, and teachers. Middle School faculty members support each student with guidance, reason, warmth and personal attention. At Episcopal Collegiate, our intent is for students to go forth from the Middle School with a sense of self-confidence, self-esteem, and intellectual curiosity.

The thing I like most about being a student at Episcopal is the opportunities. The opportunities to learn, meet and make new friends, and succeed in life. Plus, you have a variety of courses that you can take and learn important life skills. -
