Volunteer Opportunities
Board of Directors
Each Spring, an election is held at the Annual Meeting to fill the
vacancies on the Board created by the expiring terms of current
Directors. In order to stand for election, a nominee must be a member
of Wildcat Champions, and be willing to make a significant time
commitment to the organization, including chairing a committee on
the Board. Board members are elected to a term of one year. Interested
persons should contact the Wildcat Champions President to submit
a name to the Nominating Committee.
Athletic Programs
Volunteers are needed to plan the athletic program, organize and
carry out a campaign to sell advertising, produce the programs,
and sell them at athletic events. To volunteer for the 2004-05 Committee,
call Walt Dickinson at 868-7131. Planning will begin in early 2004.
Community and School Service
Call Claire Hancock, Chair, at 614-7771 to volunteer to work on organizing
our School team for the Race for the Cure event, or to help organize a team
for workers for the Little Rock Marathon.
Concessions
Volunteers are needed to oversee the management, inventory, purchasing,
stocking and staffing of the concessions stand. To volunteer to
assist in the management of the Concessions stand, contact Donna Lewis,
Chair, at 821-5910.
The family of each student-athlete/cheerleader is requested to
provide an adult volunteer for five (5) shifts during his or her
athletic season. The volunteer notebook may be found at the Concession
stand during an event, or in Coach Frank Fisher's office during
the school day. Donna Lewis serves as Volunteer Coordinator, and
may be reached at 821-5910.
Hospitality & Fun Raisers
This committee stages various ‘fun-raising’ events such as the
Homecoming Tailgate party, and hosts special guests, receptions,
and tournaments. Leslie Lee chairs this committee. To offer
assistance to Leslie, call 660-4491.
Novelties
Lori Brockman chairs the Novelties Committee, which sells Wildcat
Wear and other spirit items as a fundraiser. Call Lori at 758-1038
to volunteer your help on this committee.
Sports Banquets
Volunteers are needed to assist in the planning and execution of
the annual Spring Sports/Awards Banquets. Call JDonna Cone at 664-1621
if you are interested in helping with this Committee.
