Episcopal Collegiate School offers many different giving programs available that can offer donors various options for supporting the school while providing them with favorable tax advantages.
Annual Fund: At independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating students each year. Episcopal Collegiate School is no exception. The Annual Fund provides the school with some of the essential operating dollars that bridge the gap between our tuition income and the full cost of providing a quality education for our students.
Endowment Funds: In addition to annual operations and capital needs, another avenue of support for the school is through the Endowment Fund. Gifts to the Episcopal Collegiate School Endowment are long-term investments. Future benefits will include using a percentage of the return to:
- Recruit and retain top faculty members,
- Invest in students through financial assistance and enhanced programs,
- Continue to offer state-of-the-art facilities, and
- Remain nationally competitive, serving as a role model among our academic peers
The permanent Endowment was established on May 11, 2004 with a gift of $30 million from Jackson T. Stephens, along with his son, Warren A. Stephens and his wife, Harriet.
The Girlfriend Fund: Robin Davis and Becky Scott, girlfriends of Cathy Hamilton Mayton, established “The Girlfriend Fund” to honor Cathy for her dedication to Episcopal Collegiate School. The fund has become a way for individuals to honor others that are near and dear to them. The proceeds from The Girlfriend Fund support faculty development. The following is a list of “girlfriends” who have made a gift to “The Girlfriend Fund”.

Targeted Projects: The Board of Trustees, in conjunction with Administration, has established targeted projects and areas of need. These projects include technology, faculty development, financial assistance, and projected building needs.
Episcopal Collegiate School is proud to announce that Julie and The Rev. Canon Christoph Keller have made a major gift to support financial assistance.
"Julie and I are impressed with the outstanding academic and extracurricular programs offered by Episcopal Collegiate School, and by the school's strong efforts to make these programs available to a broad spectrum of students. We are very pleased to be able to support this effort, and hope that our gift will impact many generations to come."
--The Rev. Canon Christoph Keller, III
Julie and Rev. Canon Christoph Keller-We truly appreciate your compassion to help deserving students receive the outstanding education that Episcopal Collegiate School has to offer. Thank you for your gift and for your support to this area of need.
Matching Gifts: There is no easier way to double the impact of your contribution than through matching gifts. Many companies match donations to charitable organizations. Find out from your employer if your company matches gifts, or call the Foundation Office for a list of matching gift companies.
Planned Giving: As families plan for their financial futures, they are often looking for ways to increase their tax savings, help a parent or grandparent provide for retirement, or reduce the size of a taxable estate. A planned gift to Episcopal Collegiate School can help families achieve these goals while leaving a legacy at the school that will impact future generations.
Scholarships: Scholarships will allow Episcopal Collegiate to reach more students who will prosper in our school. At Episcopal Collegiate's first graduation, Warren A. Stephens announced that the Foundation had received $1,000,000 to endow four scholarships:
The Margaret W. Clark Endowed Scholarship
The Patricia F. Erwin Endowed Scholarship
The Ellen House Simpson and James D. Simpson, Jr.
Endowed Scholarship
The Stella Boyle Smith Endowed Scholarship
Other scholarships established to date:
The Jackson T. Stephens Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Brown Foundation Endowed Scholarship
The Alumni Scholarship
General Scholarship
Along with endowed scholarships, gifts can be made to provide immediate, annual scholarships for deserving students. Individuals can designate that their gift (of any amount) will benefit part, or all, of the 2008-2009 tuition of $8,975. |
