Episcopal views technology as an instrument that increases opportunities for learning in ways that emphasize the fact that our world is ever-changing. We are committed to providing an environment that recognizes the shifts in literacy, information and learning, and we strive to bring all our learners access and resources not found anywhere else in the state.
These resources include:
Fiber infrastructure delivering 35 mb of throughput
Complete wireless access
Dual platform
Over 350 student-use computers for Lower School and Middle School
One-to-one laptop program for all students in Upper School
Laptop carts for students in grades 3-8
Specialized technology labs
Projection and sound in every classroom
Voice amplification in Lower School classrooms
Interactive white-boards throughout Lower School
Expansive learning software, databases, and subscriptions.
Because technology alone is not enough, we organize learning opportunities for faculty and staff, every month we meet with student advisors, and we facilitate professional development opportunities both at school and across the nation. We communicate and collaborate on ways to use technology in the classroom as well as share our experiences with our colleagues and communities with our technology wikis. In addition, we assess where we are in the process of meeting our community goals every year with an extensive Needs Assessment Report.
For Episcopal Collegiate School, technology is part of the everyday experience. We are committed to it as we see it as an integral part of the education of each and every student.
