Administrative
Lower School Chaplain
Episcopal Collegiate School is seeking a full-time Lower School (Pre-K3 - 5th grade) Chaplain for the 2024/25 academic year. Episcopal Collegiate is an independent school serving approximately 815 students from Pre-K3 through 12th grade in Little Rock, AR. As the only Episcopal school in the state and diocese of Arkansas, we offer a unique approach to the education and formation of children and young people.

Reporting to the LS Head, and Head Chaplain, the LS Chaplain is responsible for preserving and promoting the school’s Episcopal Identity to the LS Community in weekly chapel; classroom Godly Play; classroom devotional life; and special services, celebrations, and events throughout the year. The LS Chaplain, working with the faculty, cares for and nurtures our students in body, mind, and spirit.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Functions
Chapel
- Schedule, design, and execute an inclusive weekly chapel programs for both 1st-5th and PreK/Kindergarten groups
- Oversee student chapel helpers/readers
- With guidance from the Head Chaplain, plan and coordinate quarterly Eucharists for 1st-5th chapel
- Help organize, plan, and facilitate division-wide and school-wide celebrations.
Classroom
- Create weekly lesson plans for Godly Play
- Maintain Godly Play schedule
- Prepare weekly classroom devotional guides for teachers; provide support when needed
Pastoral Care
- Offer pastoral care to all members of the community when needs arise - Work with faculty and staff, especially the School Counselor, to identify and address students in need of care and support
- Attend to the needs of students, faculty, staff, and families as opportunities/crises arise. - Maintain confidentiality and exercise a high-level of discretion
Community
- Be a present, visible, and available member of the faculty.
- Keep parents informed about chapel programming and Godly Play.
- Meet with and respond to parents when needed.
Other duties
- Submit all records, reports, evaluations, inventories, etc. promptly
- Ensure that the borrowed classroom space, chapel areas and office is neat, well organized and hallway promotions are kept current
- Be present in the school building at least one half hour before school begins, preparing for the day; to be present in the classroom when students begin arriving
- Attend all school and division meeting and recommended training programs - Attend evening school events as requested
- Serve on various committees as requested

- The ability to plan and lead age-appropriate chapel, competency in the Book of Common Prayer.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking/preaching

Graphic Designer & Digital Content Specialist
Position Summary: Episcopal Collegiate School is seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer & Digital Content Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for creating high-quality visual designs for both print and digital platforms, including, but not limited to, magazine spreads, website graphics, social media content, and digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, excellent technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a consistent brand identity across various media channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Graphic Design & Branding:
- Design and produce visual assets for various digital and print mediums, including but not limited to website graphics, magazine spreads, brochures, and email templates.
- Ensure all designs align with the School’s brand guidelines and effectively communicate the brand’s voice and aesthetic.
- Develop creative concepts for marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and internal communications.
- Website & Digital Asset Management:
- Regularly update and maintain the company website, ensuring content is current, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
- Collaborate with the web development team to implement design updates and improvements to the website.
- Create and optimize digital assets such as banners, images, and icons for the website.
- Social Media Management & Content Creation:
- Design and develop eye-catching social media content, including graphics, videos, and animations for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Director to ensure social media content is timely, relevant, and on-brand.
- Monitor social media trends and adapt content to increase engagement and reach.
- Magazine & Print Design:
- Design magazine spreads, newsletters, and other print publications, ensuring a consistent layout, typography, and visual appeal.
- Collaborate with writers and editors to layout content in an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly format.
- Collaboration & Project Management:
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing to understand design needs and deadlines of various teams throughout the School.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, providing creative input and ideas for upcoming campaigns and design projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work across digital and print media.
- Experience with web design and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a bonus
- Experience in social media design and content creation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of current design trends, digital marketing strategies, and social media best practices.

Director of Auxiliary Programs
Episcopal Collegiate School seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Director of Auxiliary Programs to lead and oversee summer and after-school programming. The director is responsible for all operations associated with after-school activities for Pre-K through 8th grade and summer programming for all divisions. The Director will work collaboratively with members of Senior Leadership to plan programs that advance the school’s mission, support admission efforts, and generate additional revenue.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the educational leader of the afterschool and summer programs.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Head of School, Division Heads, and Director of Operations define the mission, scope, and vision of the Summer Program.
- Develop grade-level appropriate offerings for after-school activities and summer programs and ensure all programs are properly staffed, delivered, and supported.
- Partner with the communications team to develop and implement marketing and communication plans that support the growth and longevity of the program.
- Provide ongoing supervision, support, evaluation, and professional development opportunities for aftercare and summer employees.
- Hire, train, oversee, and develop all staff for aftercare and summer programs.
- Partner with the Director of Finance and Operations to effectively manage the budget for the programs.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all participants.

Athletics
Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Supervisor: Athletic Director
Job Description:
- The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strength and conditioning program for all sports, with the three major goals of improving athletic performance, reducing injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills.
- The Head Strength and Conditioning coach provides the training plans based on scientific principles, supervises training sessions, evaluates athletes, keeps accurate records, and teaches strength and conditioning classes during the school year as well as summer workouts.
- The Strength and Conditioning Coach meets regularly with sport coaches to determine what the athletes need to work on.
- If working with an injured athlete engaged in rehabilitation, the Strength and Conditioning Coach will consult with the athletic training staff.
- The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for maintaining the strength and conditioning facility, and for establishing policies, plans, and procedures for the safe and professional operation of the facility.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implements strength training and conditioning programs for all athletic programs at Episcopal Collegiate by using research driven practices.
- Work hand and hand with athletic training staff to rehabilitate and strengthen injured athletes.
- Facilitate a collaborative relationship among sport coaches and sports medicine staff.
- Design and implement policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Professional Standards Guidelines.
- Develop systems for tracking athlete attendance and athlete progress.
- End of season analysis for each sports program. What needs to be improved upon when attacking off season work.
- Annually conduct and review a departmental risk management plan.
- Complete an annual budgetary proposal for the program that includes routine maintenance, purchase of new equipment, and staffing needs.
- Determine and reinforce expectations for athlete conduct that mirror the school’s expectations for curricular and extra‐curricular activities, as stated in the school’s Student Code of Conduct.
- Work hand and hand with program directors in terms of professional development.
Peripheral Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate an introductory program for grades 6th- 8th so they are prepared to meet the needs of freshman weight lifting.
- Other duties assigned in terms of helping other weight room teachers in proper training.
- Help with speed development throughout our entire middle school and upper school athletic programs.
Qualifications
- BS in Kinesiology or related field.
- A current relevant professional certification credentialed by an independent accreditation agency— for example, the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®), Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), etc.
- Current standard first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillation (AED) certifications.
- A strong working knowledge and teaching skills in analysis and techniques of strength training.
- Experience and/or expertise in strength and conditioning programming for high school population
- Strong motivational abilities
- Evidence of ability to interact positively with student athletes, colleagues, and the community.
- Evidence of strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate the appropriate skills and techniques to be used by the athletes.
- Ability to visually monitor athletes.
- Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, and moving equipment/boxes up to 50 lbs.
Safety and Health Requirements
- Current standard first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillation (AED) certifications.
- Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions.

Lower School
Substitute Teachers
Episcopal Collegiate School has an ongoing need for substitute teachers to fill in when the regular teacher is unable to attend. Subject matter and age groups will vary. In most cases, the regular teacher will have provided lesson plans or other instructions for the class.
Wildcat Club
Episcopal Collegiate's Lower School is seeking enthusiastic teachers for the Wildcat Club after-school program. Wildcat Club teachers work with students in Pre-K through 5th grade from 3-6PM every school day. Teachers are expected to create fun, engaging activities and maintain a safe play environment for their students. A background in education is encouraged, but not required.
