Education Freedom Accounts
The Arkansas LEARNS Act, enacted in 2023, introduced and authorized Education Freedom Accounts (EFA) which enable families to use state provided funds to help pay for private school tuition. Episcopal Collegiate School is a participating school with the Arkansas Department of Education in the EFA program. Below is some important information for families to know about Education Freedom Accounts for the 2026/2027 school year:
- Eligibility: All Kindergarten – 12th grade students are eligible for EFA Accounts for the 2026/27 school year.
- Important Dates: Applications for an EFA Account are made through the Arkansas Department of Education. Applications are expected to open in early March 2026 and families are encouraged to submit their application early.
- Value: The value of an EFA Account for the 2026/27 school year is expected to be $7,208 per student, all of which can be used to help pay tuition at Episcopal.
The LEARNS Act and Education Freedom Accounts will have no impact on Episcopal Collegiate School’s mission, curriculum, faculty/student ratios or academic assessment processes, nor will the criteria for admission to the School be impacted in any way. Acceptance for enrollment at Episcopal Collegiate School is in no way guaranteed by approval of an EFA Account for that student.
