Dear Episcalums,
As we approach the year's end, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the impact our Episcalum family has made since my return to Episcopal Collegiate as the Director of Alumni! Your collective support allowed us to treat teachers more than 100 times with a well-deserved coffee in October—an impactful gesture that resonated throughout the entire campus.
Returning here has been an eye-opener for me, and the smaller details that made Episcopal Collegiate special during our days as students can often feel like distant memories. Many things have changed, but to this day you will still find backpacks lining the corner of the commons, the feeling of walking to Chapel and wondering who the speaker is, seeing the bell from the Class of 2008 and wanting to ring it, and the unforgettable, yet familiar, smell of the Upper School. I encourage all of you to consider revisiting and relish in the many moments that shaped who we are today.
I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be back, and my hope is to encourage an even greater level of alumni connection. We would love to see more familiar faces gracing the campus—whether delivering a chapel talk, reading to lower school students, engaging in the writing center, or simply attending a community event.
In just 25 years, our school has achieved remarkable milestones, and each of you are a part of that history. Here's to each of you, to us collectively, and to our beautiful school for once again finding a way to bring us together!
