Clubs & Organizations
Students at Episcopal Collegiate School are encouraged to develop mind, body and spirit through involvement in a variety of activities outside of the classroom. Extracurricular activities allow young people to explore new interests, develop leadership skills, and discover new passions, many of which may continue into their adult lives. In addition to athletics and fine arts opportunities, a number of clubs and organizations are available to middle and upper school students. Students may run for elective office in student government, participate in or help organize planned social activities, or support student performances on the field of play or on the stage as enthusiastic and appreciative fans.
Student Government
The purpose of the Episcopal Collegiate School Student Council is to increase student participation in school activities, provide a sounding board for student concerns, represent the student body of Episcopal Collegiate School, and to plan and organize social events.
The Executive Committee of the Student Council consists of one representative from each grade, plus a president, a vice-president, a secretary, and a treasurer. Any Upper School student may volunteer to be a member of the Student Council.
The Student Council sponsors many special events throughout the year. However, the fall and winter homecoming events are their most outstanding events. The members work in committees to plan a fall homecoming Spirit Week which culminates on Friday afternoon with a pep rally. In addition, they provide the half-time homecoming game program and a homecoming dance on Saturday night. In February a Spirit Week and dance is planned and hosted by the Student Council.
