In an effort to keep outgrown Episcopal Collegiate uniforms out of the landfill, the Upcyclers find creative ways to repurpose material in meaningful ways. For more than a decade, kindergarteners have been paired with a "buddy" in the senior class. Each Christmas, for the last three years, the Upcyclers have taken materials from unusable uniforms and created blankets and ornaments. The kindergarten class proudly decorates an ornament for their senior buddy by writing their name on it. In return, the seniors decorate blankets for them. The materials used for the blankets may change every year, but the sentiment remains the same.
