Mayor Frank Scott Visits Episcopal!
On Tuesday, September 24, we welcomed Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott to speak at our Middle and Upper School Chapel service.
Mayor Scott spoke about three mantras that can help students right now in school but also in the future. "If we want to be successful in life, you need the three P's", said Scott. The first P is to prepare for the day. "Preparing for the day merely sets order in your life. In life you'll have good days, bad days, and ugly days."
This brought Mayor Scott to his second P, to push through life's circumstances. When something happens to a loved one, or even to you, we have to be able to push through the trying circumstances of life. "With every remarkable obstacle, there will be a remarkable outcome.", exclaimed Scott.
Finally, the third P, to pay it forward. "we are blessed with blessings not only to bless ourselves, but to bless others.", remarked Scott. He posed this question to the community: "What are we doing to bless the community and others, what are we doing to give back? It's all about helping someone else other than ourselves."
