From the Head of School

Dear Families and Friends,

Your support has always been paramount to our success and that of our students, but this year especially, your contributions have made a significant impact in the life of our school. The investments we have been able to make in teacher training, staffing, and technological infrastructure in recent years laid a foundation for a seamless transition to E-learning last spring, effective planning this summer, and a smooth start to the new school year. Thanks to you, we have not only endured this season, but in many ways, have thrived in the face of a world-wide crisis.

With your generosity, we surpassed our 2019-20 Episcopal Collegiate Annual Fund goal, raising nearly $585,000. Our Run Wild Campaign reached an exciting milestone with more than $4 million in commitments, allowing us to break ground on the track and field phase of the campaign. What’s more, our Parents’ Auxiliary worked tirelessly to set the stage for what promises to be one of our most successful Auctions in the history of the school – now rescheduled for April 10, 2021. What an amazing outpouring of support!

This kind of commitment to the School is also demonstrated by our families who re-enrolled at rates higher than the national averages for the second year in a row. This commitment is found in the stories you share in the community about our school and what it has meant to your children. We saw it in our admissions this past summer, which was one of the busiest seasons we have ever had.

Together, we have demonstrated the strength and heart of this community, and I cannot thank you enough for your continued loyalty and support. Thanks to you, we are poised to emerge from 2020 stronger as a school and as a community, serving the needs of our students in powerful ways.

Sincerely,

David B. Perkinson
Head of School
